Environmentally friendly special cleaner - extra formulated for whirlpool filters

Modern cartridge filters consist of a special fleece with millions of very small passages. The dirt gets caught in these diffusers and is thus retained. In the event of improper cleaning, bacteria accumulate in the fleece and form a biofilm that protects it. Additional fats, oils and skin flakes form the nutritional basis for the bacteria. Then the filter becomes a water polluter. Contaminated filters also cause a higher power consumption of the filter pump and shorten the service life of the filter pump.

For these reasons it is important to clean the filters regularly and thoroughly: Lotus Clean Filter Wash Natural dissolves organic soiling, grease and oils from the filter fleece. Clean the filters every two to three weeks (in the initial period with Lotus Clean a weekly cleaning may also be necessary) and use a second set of filters during the cleaning time. The filter fleece loses its filter effect over time. Even good-looking filters can then only produce poor filter performance.

Use

Place the filter in a container and give it a half measuring cup (50 ml) Lotus Clean Filter Wash Natural and fill it with hot water until the filter is covered. For larger containers or heavy soiling, increase the amount to be added.
Leave the filter in the cleaning solution for at least 12 hours. Then  remove the filter and rinse it thoroughly with a strong jet of water.

For even more intensive cleaning, place the filter in a bucket of 10 litres of water and 20 ml UltraShock for another night. This makes the filter even whiter and removes any remaining biofilm with bacteria. Replace your filters every two years.
